Save the date: Berlin Travel Festival press conference

On 8 March 2019 the partner event of ITB Berlin will provide information on exhibitors, speakers and the Shop Shift conference

Berlin, 10 December 2018 Save the date! On Friday, 8 March 2019, at 9.30 a.m. at ARENA BERLIN, shortly before the start of the three-day Berlin Travel Festival, journalists can find out more about this event, whose slogan is ‘Travel Different’. This is where passionate adventurers will be meeting representatives of forward-looking brands and dedicated travel advisers. With the Berlin Travel Festival ITB Berlin has gained an official partner event that is geared to a flourishing market for young creatives. While ITB Berlin is the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show, the Berlin Travel Festival with its bold festival character celebrates entrepreneurial spirit, thus complementing the established trade show. Combined, the two events offer a rich and wide-ranging programme for travel enthusiasts and industry professionals. ITB Berlin will take place from 6 to 10 March 2019 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, and the Berlin Travel Festival will be held from 8 to 10 March 2019 at Arena Berlin in Kreuzberg.

At the press conference Bernd Neff, co-founder and managing director of the Berlin Travel Festival, will have information for journalists about exhibitors, programme highlights, speakers at the masterclasses and film screenings during the festival. Journalists will also receive full details of ‘Shop Shift – A Trend Lab for Creative Minds’, which will begin directly after the press conference. At the one-day conference and the parallel workshop experts will be taking a look at the future of the travel retail industry. Topics will include the transformation of the classic point of sales to a successful point-of-experience model as well as strategies and approaches for achieving a seamless online and in-store retail experience.

Following the press conference, exhibitors including Südtirol and B Corp will be on hand to discuss new industry products. Afterwards, media representatives can take tours of the Experience Floors and Campus Areas and closely explore the festival grounds. A shuttle service to ITB Berlin will be available after the event.

Journalists who wish to register for the press conference or obtain accreditation for the Berlin Travel Festival are requested to use the online application form at www.berlintravelfestival.com/accreditation/. Media representatives and bloggers already accredited for ITB Berlin can obtain accreditation for the festival upon prior registration.
