Maria S. Valerga
Maria studied Biology and Conservation of Natural Resources and got specialized in environmental protection issues and sustainability in Tourism.
During 1993-2012, she gained extensive experience, working for the leading Greek hotel chain, GRECOTEL S.A., in close contact with TUI A.G. She had been responsible for 25 hotels in Greece, organizing their sustainable management, training, food safety and hygiene topics. As a manager of that division, she achieved several national and international recognition and awards personal and for the company (DRV, TUI, THOMSON, Travelife, etc).
Maria currently works as senior consultant within a range of projects in the Sustainable Tourism and Food sector in cooperation with hotels, tourism and consulting companies.
